Izabela is the daughter of filmmaker Elisabeta Vidovic (born Elisabeta Bašić) and Mario Vidović. Her father was born in Croatia. Her mother was born in Germany, to parents from Bosnia and Herzegovina, of Croatian descent.
Izabela has said:
I speak Serbo-Croatian, and yes! I actually co-wrote a feature film with my mom that explores my Bosnian heritage.
