Remembering Nydia's Vibrant Spirit
Nydia was known for her vibrant spirit and passion for teaching. She had been an English teacher at Fitchburg High for over 5 years, working with 9th and 10th grade students. Students and fellow teachers alike remember her for her warmth, compassion and dedication to helping students succeed.
Outside of her work, Nydia was utterly devoted to her family. Her husband Tyler and daughter Arianna were the lights of her life. She filled her time away from school with family activities, cheering Arianna on at soccer games and dance recitals. Nydia had a gift for making every student feel seen, heard and valued. Her presence will be deeply missed at Fitchburg High.
Outpouring of Grief from the Community
News of Nydia's passing has elicited an outpouring of grief from the Fitchburg community. On social media, students and parents shared memories of Nydia's bright spirit and passion for teaching.
